We believe that progress and opportunities are best created together. Welcome to a workplace where collaboration makes a difference.
Are you driven by seeing your ideas come to life? Welcome to our exciting and technology-intensive world.
Your Role
As a Technician within the Stirling Division, you will work with testing, assembly, service, and commissioning of Stirling engines and related submarine systems. These systems range from cooling water, hot water, and gas systems to engine components, electrical, and automation systems.
You will become part of an experienced, solution-oriented, and driven engineering team. The role is broad and varied, giving you considerable freedom to organize and structure your work yourself based on shared goals.
The position involves extensive internal and external contacts, requiring you to be social and outgoing. Together with the customer, you will participate in verification activities on land, at the dock, and at sea (underwater), as well as conduct training and carry out important service assignments.
Regular travel, mostly planned but occasionally urgent, is included in the role – primarily domestic. The location is Lund, where we work in modern and well-equipped facilities.
There are excellent opportunities for further development both internally within the section and across Saab as a whole.
Your Profile
We highly value personality and attitude. You should be technically interested and have technical experience from previous work and/or private projects. You are quality-conscious, have a strong drive to learn new things, and deliver on time.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license (Category B)
- Upper secondary education, vocational higher education (YH), and/or university degree (e.g., in naval architecture/marine technology)
We also welcome if you have:
- Experience working with PLC systems
- Experience from small-scale manufacturing industry
- Workshop experience such as machining, welding, hard and soft soldering
- Experience with electrical and mechanical installations
- Military/naval service experience
The position may require the use of respiratory protection. According to current occupational health and safety regulations, this requires you to be clean-shaven when using the equipment.
The position requires that you undergo and pass security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
